As mentioned in an earlier blog post, this is the season of visitors for our house. This week Michaela's mom and Harper's mom came out to Tucson, and my uncle and papa came out! They rented what is arguably one of the most colorful campervans ever and we explored Tucson and a little bit of Phoenix-Mesa.
We went to the St. Xavier Mission and tried Navajo fry bread, the Pima County Air and Space museum, Mi Nidita Mexican restaurant, and an A's spring training game in Mesa (the Cubs were out of town this weekend but we were about 5 feet away from Tracy Morgan!). We also tried several different ice cream spots: The Screamery and Las Deliciosas de Michoacan in Tucson and Dolce Vita in Mesa.
Thanks for visiting and exploring with me!
This week at work I took on some more daily tasks such as creating population lists and checking requests from detainees that they send through a tablet system. This feels good to get more responsibility and will keep me busy! In my downtime I've also started studying for the LSAT on Khan Academy. I started by taking a full-length practice test which occupied a full morning. I don't have a date set to take the actual test so I have plenty of time to study. Mostly, it feels like a more productive way to spend my time in the office when things are slow.
On the home front, we still have not finished the current puzzle. It is a doozy. But we have watched all four of the Hunger Games movies (well, I didn't watch them all in their entirety but I was around for at least a portion of all four). The weather continues warming up and drying out. Summer heat is just around the corner in the desert.

Thanks for the Sonoran Desert infusion, visitors, place to visit, food, and a desert horned lizard that I have not seen in the wild. That van is definitely more interesting that the usual say Enterprise Car Rental offering! Your grandfather Gail and I met in Acappella Choir at Goshen College, btw.
